You never quite know what you are going to run into when the committee gets together in Dibley. They may talk on any number of different subjects but sooner or later, you are sure to get a laugh out of it. That is especially true when Jim is speaking, because his style of humour is brilliant.
In this clip, they are discussing Lesbians, as they are sure that the Vicar has come out. In the process of the conversation, Jim manages to get things twisted around in the strangest way possible. He talks about Mrs Cropley and how she was a lesbian until she retired. The problem is, she never was.
When he is corrected, we find out that Mrs Cropley was not actually a lesbian but rather, she was a librarian. We can see why this is something quite funny.
